Merenelävät

Juuri kun ehdin mainita, että tytär on uskonut, ettei suihkulähteissä uida:

Ymmärsin, että tyttären on vain päästävä uimaan.

I understood that daughter needs to get swim now.

Kun seuraavana aamuna tuosta suihkulähteeseen pulahduksesta kerroin, että tänään mennään uimaan oli tytär yhtä aurinkoa ja tottelevainen kuin herran enkeli.

Next morning I told daughter that today we are going to go swimming. She was so delighted and like an angel all morning. 

 

Rannalla meni suoraan veteen ilman mitään epäröintiä. Heti oli menossa syvälle ja sain vain nostella ipanaa pinnalle ja lähemmäs rantaa ja pinnalla ollessaan  tämä vaan laukoo: "Minä osaan uida!" Emme ehtineet kovin kauan olla, kun tytär jo tärisi kylmästä aikalailla ja raahasin ipanan takaisin rannalle.

Lämpöstä päälle, mehua juotavaksi, lupaus, että tullaan vielä uudestaan ja nyt mennään ostamaan keksejä ja päästiin pois suuremmitta itkuitta. Valjasrepulla oli käyttöä, ettei tytär rynnännyt uudelleen veteen.
